So how do you go about installing this ROM on your Apache?

I take no responsibility at all if you turn you Apache into an expensive paperweight. Below are the steps that successfully worked for me.

Make sure you have you carriers latest update installed and then download the ROM from here: http://rapidshare.com/files/12360381/ApacheAKU3.3.rar

Back up all the important data from device including the Ext ROM

You can unhide the Ext ROM by changing 2 registry keys.
HKLM\System\StorageManager\Profiles\TRUEFFS_DOC1\ MountHidden to "0"
HKLM\System\StorageManager\AutoLoad\TRUEFFS_DOC1\ BootPhase to "2"

Once everything is backed up, perform a hard reset and then enter the bootloader by pressing the reset, standby and voice tag buttons at same time.

Connect Apache via USB to PC and run the update file.

When update has finished, cold boot by pushing standby and reset.

If all goes well then you should see a Telecom New Zealand splash screen (no idea why that is in this ROM) then green Windows Mobile welcome screen. After the setup wizard is complete, it should start installing your carrier customisations. If not you may have to restore the Ext ROM and run the cab files from there.

This will work for all HTC Apache devices (TNZ Apache, VX6700, PPC6700 etc)
