We guess this might be somewhat of a shocker for Pixel Fold fans – the folks over at Smartprix in collaboration with tech leaker @OnLeaks have released a new set of renders which show the Pixel Fold 2’s design, showing a new take on Google’s otherwise consistent visual hardware style.

Based on the images, it looks like the Pixel Fold 2 might ditch the horizontal camera bar in favor of a squared-off island in the top corner of the rear panel. This is a rather interesting change as Google’s Pixel design language has stuck with a uniform look over the past few years, featuring a singular window on the back to house the camera lenses.
Other details (based on the render) include an 8-inch display with an inner camera in the top-right corner, and an external display which measures up to 6.6 inches. Going back to the camera island, the module will reportedly house three sensors, which we can assume consist of the primary, ultrawide and telephoto lenses.Â
As for internals, it’s expected that the device will be powered by the Tensor G4 chipset, alongside 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. Of course at this point this is all “unofficial,†although it does paint a picture of what the Pixel Fold 2 could end up being like.
