Galaxy Note 10 Lite gets a new security update

More than four years after its launch, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite has received a new software update this week. As expected for a phone that has been around so long, the update brings nothing more than security enhancements.

The newest Galaxy Note 10 Lite update comes with the firmware version N770FXXS9HXA3. It is available in some European and Asian markets. In Europe, it seems to be mostly targeted at carrier variants instead of the unlocked model, though the latter should eventually join the party.

The February 2024 security patch that is included in this update brings a total of 72 security fixes. 61 fixes come from Google and apply to the core Android OS, while 11 fixes are only applicable to Galaxy smartphones and tablets.

Three fixes in the latest security patch are marked as critical, while the others are marked as high risk. For Galaxy devices, there are fixes for seven high-risk and four moderate-risk vulnerabilities.

If you own a Galaxy Note 10 Lite, you can expect to get security updates for another year, though the frequency of their release might slow down. To download the February update, you can use the Download and install option in the phone's Settings » Software update menu or use firmware files available in our archives to manually upgrade the device using a Windows PC.
