New Galaxy Buds 3 renders confirms stem design

A rumor from last month revealed that Samsung is expected to introduce a new design for its Galaxy Buds 3 earbuds. The report claimed that Samsung could follow in Apple’s footsteps and introduce a stem to the earbuds. A subsequent leak seemingly confirmed it. If you need extra confirmation, then you’re in luck.

According to a post on X by @TEQHNIKACROSS, they have shared another render of the upcoming true wireless earbuds. This image was apparently taken from South Korean e-commerce website Coupang. It shows the design of the Galaxy Buds 3 inside their case, along with another image of what appears to be a protective case made by Elago.

While not 100% obvious, you can sort of make out the stem in these renders. Also, the fact that the case seems to be different compared to the previous case suggests that it could have been made bigger to accommodate the stems. Assuming this is true, this could be the biggest design change to the lineup since Samsung first introduced it.

Samsung had previously adopted a bean-shaped design of its Galaxy Bud series. This created a smaller and more compact design compared to the AirPods. Is it better? It depends. The use of a stem means that Samsung can move the microphone closer to the mouth of its users. This could help make the picking up of voices clearer. Samsung is expected to unveil the new earbuds at an event in July, so it shouldn’t be too long until we get the official confirmation.
