The Pixel Watch 4 price isn’t changing this year. According to an exclusive Android Headlines report, Google is sticking with $349 for the 41mm WiFi version and $399 for the LTE version. The larger 45mm model will go for $399 (WiFi) and $449 (LTE), keeping it in line with the Pixel Watch 3.
That keeps the Pixel Watch 4 pretty competitive against other Wear OS smartwatches. The Galaxy Watch 8 also starts at $349, and the OnePlus Watch 3 sits at the same price for the 47mm version. If you’re going smaller, the 43mm OnePlus Watch 3 is slightly cheaper at $299.
Each Pixel Watch 4 purchase comes with a six-month Fitbit Premium trial and one month of YouTube Premium. It’s not quite as generous as the rumored Pixel 10 bundle, but still a decent perk for new buyers.
What’s more interesting this year is the change to charging. Instead of a magnetic puck, Google is introducing a new cradle that charges the watch from the side. This means cases likely won’t fit, and the contacts stay exposed, which may divide users. Still, the upside is much faster charging. Google says it’s now 25% faster than before. You can hit 50% in 15 minutes or reach 80% in just half an hour.
Compared to the Pixel Watch 3’s full charge time of about 60 minutes, or 80 on the 45mm, that’s a big quality-of-life upgrade. The design may look the same, but the under-the-hood improvements make the Pixel Watch 4 a more polished experience. The Pixel Watch 4 is expected to be announced on August 20 alongside the new Pixel 10 smartphones.
