Galaxy Z Flip 7, Fold 7 phones worth over $10 million stolen in London

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 are selling like hot cakes, as people seem to be finally impressed by Samsung's thin and light foldable phones. However, there is some bad news for Samsung, as a truck containing thousands of those phones was reportedly stolen in London, UK.

According to a report from tipster @UniverseIce, a truck containing the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 was stolen from London's Heathrow Airport. The vehicle reportedly contained phones worth $10.6 million (£7.9 million). The Galaxy Z Flip 7 costs £1,149 in the UK, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is priced at £1,799. A rough calculation reveals that there might have been over 6,000 phones in that truck.

It isn't clear if the truck has been located. However, it is safe to assume that Samsung would be working with the law enforcement agencies to get hold of the stolen truck. Moreover, the company might have already sent a code to blacklist those stolen phones so that they can't be sold via the illegal market or activated/used.

The South Korean firm might also have some kind of insurance for those phones. So, the company won't face much loss. However, it would be a huge task to blacklist them and then re-enable them if they are found. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 were announced on July 9 and went on sale in the UK on July 25.
