Samsung provides software support for dozens of devices across its various lineups. As devices get older, they get moved around from the monthly and quarterly schedules to bi-annual, which is essentially a signal that the software support is due to end soon.
Three popular mid-range phones from Samsung had been similarly moved on the list in recent months, and the company has now updated the list to confirm that software support for these devices will no longer be available.
Three mid-range devices lose software support
While detailing the August 2025 security patch today, Samsung has also confirmed some changes to the list of supported devices.
It has removed three mid-range devices from the list, these include the Galaxy A22, Galaxy M32, and the Galaxy F22. Given that these devices are considerably outdated now, it's no surprise that Samsung will no longer provide any support for them.
If you own one of these devices, this means that there will be no more updated, no Android OS upgrades and no security maintenance releases from Samsung. It would probably be best to think about upgrading your phone now as you'd otherwise be left without the protection of the latest security patches.
