AI is everywhere right now. It’s in our phones, cameras, even note-taking apps. So, it’s no surprise Samsung is bringing it to its browser. The latest Samsung Internet Beta update adds smart tab management powered by AI, aimed at fixing a problem most of us are guilty of: leaving way too many tabs open until the browser turns into a digital junk drawer.
In version 29.0.0.27, there’s a new “Auto close unused tabs” setting that can shut tabs after 7 or 30 days. Alternatively, you can hand over control to “smart tab management.” The AI watches your browsing habits and closes tabs as soon as it figures out you’re done with them. It’s the perfect set-and-forget tool for anyone with dozens of old shopping carts, unread articles, or random searches just sitting there.
The update also adds a Grid view to make it easier to find the tab you actually want. There are also smoother scrolling animations, so the whole thing feels faster and more polished. It’s a small change, but it makes everyday browsing feel a lot cleaner.
Samsung Internet Beta is available now through the Galaxy Store. Note that the features from the beta usually show up in the stable release within a few weeks. If you’ve been meaning to declutter your browser but never get around to it, this AI upgrade might finally do the job for you.
