Samsung's A1x series tend to be among its best-selling phones. These models offer exceptional value for money year after year, and have become a beloved option for those looking to buy a phone without breaking the bank.
The company has gradually been making its latest offering in the lineup, the Galaxy A17 5G, available in more markets. It has now launched the device in the United Kingdom.
No price hike for the latest model
Customers in the United Kingdom can now purchase the Galaxy A17 5G from Samsung for £199. This is an attractive price point for a 5G-enabled device. What's great to note is that Samsung hasn't increased the price. Last year's Galaxy A16 5G was also priced at £199.
The Galaxy A17 5G is a solid entry-level device. It features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display and is powered by an Exynos 1330 chipset. The device can be purchased with 6GB and 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage.
It runs One UI 7.0 out of the box, that includes Android 15, and has a 5,000mAh battery keeping the lights on. The device has support for 25W wired fast charging. Samsung is shipping the device with a charging brick in some markets, so it remains to be seen whether the same courtesy is extended to customers in the United Kingdom.
