OnePlus 13R users, rejoice—OnePlus recently announced that it was rolling out the new 15.0.0.850 software update for the OnePlus 13R, which brings some new features. The update will initially arrive for users in India with software version number CPH2691_15.0.0.850(EX01), with a wider expansion to follow soon.

The update brings new features, including refined animations for floating windows and a revised approach to Split View, which now allows for adjustable ratios and resizing in landscape orientation. The update also modifies the behavior of recent tasks, enabling users to lock an app’s status by swiping down.
Changes to notifications in landscape mode have also been implemented for less interruptions during use, displaying them in a simplified banner format. Tapping a button on these banners now opens the app in a floating window rather than full screen. The Private Safe feature has likewise een expanded with new functionalities, allowing users to share images and videos, customize album covers, sort content by time, and directly add various file types under the “Other files” category.
OnePlus has also added a new feature which it dubs “BeaconLink” which facilitates communication via text, image, and voice messages between nearby devices without an internet connection. Finally, the update also includes the August 2025 Android security patch; users can check for the new update by going into their Settings app and typing “update” in the search bar.
