Staying true to its promise made last month, Samsung has just released the first One UI 8.0 beta update for the Galaxy S23 series. This update comes after the beta update was released for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 last month.
One UI 8 Beta Program is now open for the Galaxy S23 series
The One UI 8 Beta Program is now open for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra in India. It could be opened soon in other elegible countries as well. The update comes with firmware version S91xBXXU8ZYHB and has a download size of around 3.1GB. It includes the September 2025 security patch as well.

The update brings Android 16 and several new software features to the Galaxy S23 series. Those features include revamped Quick Share UI with a full-screen and easier-to-understand design, and improved AI Select. Samsung has also introduced a brand-new Samsung DeX with screen rotate options and a redesigned version of Samsung Internet web browser.
One UI 8.0 also brings improved Calendar and Reminders apps and an improved design for the stock Weather app. It also brigns a more secure version of Secure Folder. You can find the full changelog of the update here.

If you live in India and want to install the beta version of One UI 8.0 on your eligible Galaxy S23 series phone, you have to install the latest version of the Samsung Members app from the Galaxy Store or the Google Play Store. After installing the app, log into the app using the same Samsung Account that you are currently using on your phone.
Once you've logged into the app, find the One UI 8.0 Beta Program notice for your Galaxy S23 and enroll your phone into the beta program. Once you've enrolled, check for the new update by navigating to Settings ยป Software update and tap Download and install on your phone. After the update is downloaded, tap the Install now button. The phone will then restart after a few minutes and you can start using One UI 8.0.
Make sure to report all the bugs and performance issues you find while using One UI 8.0 beta. You can report bugs using the Samsung Members app.
