OnePlus 15 Charging Leak Shows Massive 120W Upgrade

OnePlus 15 charging speeds just got a lot more interesting thanks to a new certification leak. A device with model number CPH2747, believed to be the upcoming OnePlus 15, showed up in TÜV certification documents with support for 121W fast charging. That’s a massive upgrade over the OnePlus 13’s 100W speeds, not to mention against the competition, many of which offer charging speeds well below the 100W mark.

    What the Numbers Actually Mean

The jump from 100W to 121W might not sound huge on paper, but it could translate to noticeable real-world improvements. OnePlus 13 already charges incredibly fast with its 100W system, but every extra watt helps when you’re trying to top off a massive battery quickly.

Speaking of batteries, the OnePlus 15 is rumored to pack a 7,000mAh cell, which would be significantly larger than most current flagships. That extra capacity means you need more power to charge it efficiently, so the 120W system makes perfect sense from an engineering perspective.

    OnePlus Keeps Pushing Boundaries

This potential charging upgrade continues OnePlus’s tradition of leading the pack on charging technology. While Samsung caps most of its flagships at 45W and Apple still sits around 27W with the iPhone, OnePlus has consistently pushed higher wattage numbers. The OnePlus 13’s magnetic wireless charging support already showed the company wasn’t afraid to embrace new charging tech.

The certification also suggests 50W wireless charging will stick around, which remains faster than most competitors offer for wired charging. That kind of wireless speed paired with 120W wired charging would make the OnePlus 15 a powerhouse for people who hate waiting around for their phone to charge.

    The Usual Caveats Apply

Keep in mind that TÜV certification documents don’t guarantee final retail specs. OnePlus could still adjust charging speeds before the official launch, and regional differences might affect what speeds you actually get. The company has historically offered different charging capabilities in different markets, so having the right charger will matter.

The OnePlus 15 is expected to launch in China this October, with a global release likely coming in early 2026. Until then, we’re still dealing with rumors and leaks rather than official announcements from OnePlus.
