[NEWS] ARTICLE: T-Mo Holidays: myTouch Fender Edition, White Curve, T-Mo Tap and M

T-Mobile laid their hand out on the table just after midnight, announcing what looks to be their full lineup of holiday handsets. Most of what was in the press release consists of previously announced phones and special editions of existing phones, but there are two new low-end phones and Mac compatibility and a new data plan for the webConnect USB modem.

    Smartphones:

myTouch 3G Fender Limited Edition is a retooled myTouch 3G with an integrated 3.5mm headphone jack and some kind of wacky, "guitar-inspired wood-grain finish." Current myTouch owners who hate that USB audio dongle must be real happy about this one. The Fender phone will ship with a 16GB microSD card pre-filled with audio and video clips, and is "anticipated for later this year."

BlackBerry Curve 8520 in white will apparently debut on today's episode of The Ellen Show, and will run $129.99 on contract.

Samsung Behold II and Motorola CLIQ are previously announced Android phones.

    Feature Phones:

T-Mobile Tap is an affordable, compact touschreen phone that looks a lot like the HTC Touch. Tap will come in two colors and feature 3G data, a 2MP camera, and GPS when it ships "later this year."

Nokia 3711 is a flip phone with a "hidden" external display running the Series 40 OS. 3711 will have GPS with Nokia Maps and a 2 MP camera and is set to ship "in the coming weeks" in a sable finish.

    USB Modem:

T-Mobile webConnect USB Laptop Stick is now Mac compatible. T-Mo is also offering a new data plan, webConnect Data Plan Lite, with introductory pricing of $29.99 per month for 200 MB of data. The full webConnect Data Plan is also available with 5 GB of data for $49.99 per month as a limited-time offer.
