| : Similar posts has been seen vaguely in a couple of places, but they are all very convoluted and should be deleted in light of this one. This is a hyper-confirmed version I have borrowed from XDA :notworthy:(I take no credit).

| : Here's recompiled APK for 2.1. It installs, but browser does not "see" it. Here's explanation why.
Android 2.2 has a new feature called com.google.android.feature.GOOGLE_PLUGIN. And Flash usesit to embed itself inside browser. So browser in 2.1 does not see plugin.

How I got rid of the two icons is to...
Uninstall Qik via the market/downloads and then reboot. Then i installed the qik.apk from this thread and rebooted and now I just have the blue icon. |
