With several smartphones at the $100 price point (iPhone 3G, Droid Eris, and BlackBerry Tour, just to name a few), one has to wonder if the Palm Pixi is going to be a smashing hit. Staying true to their "always low prices" moniker, Lets Talk, Walmart's online partner, is offering the Pixi for $30 (or in other words, roughly the price of a car charger at most retail stores). According to commenters over at Engadget Mobile, the $30 deal is for new customers only (signing a new two-year agreement, of course) - existing subscribers are asked to plunk down $250. Not that great for existing folks, but new customers may want to take a look at the deal.
