Moto G Stylus (5G) Leaks, Comes with Snapdragon SoC and 120Hz display

Following the launch of Motorola’s low-cost stylus-equipped smartphone a few months back, new leaks have revealed an upcoming variant of the company’s Moto G Stylus phone, which adds a few hardware extras compared to its older sibling. A post from noted tech informant Evan Blass shows off the design of the smartphone, referred to as the “Moto G Stylus 5G.” Based on the photos, the phone is expected to ship in two colors, and will feature a glossy design.https://phandroid.com/wp-content/upl...us-5g-leak.png

Additionally, the phone is reported to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695, a chipset usually found in budget and mid-range devices. Other specs include 4GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, a 6.7-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution, and a built-in stylus.

The phone will also come with a triple-camera module at the rear, which includes a 50-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The Moto G Stylus 5G will be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, and will come equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Motorola also launched a Moto G Stylus phone earlier this year, which lacked 5G connectivity and featured MediaTek’s Helio G88 SoC, and a 90Hz refresh rate display. It came priced in at $300 in the US, competing with other budget and mid-range Android handsets.

Motorola’s comeback has been notable. After spending the early 2010s being shuffled around by Google and then Lenovo, the company has slowly but steadily returned to gain a foothold in the US market. The exit of LG from the smartphone manufacturing business also contributed to Motorola’s renewed relevance, and the company now sits at third place behind Apple and Samsung in the US market.

There’s no current announcement from Motorola regarding the Moto G Stylus 5G, although an official announcement might not be that far away.
