I don't have a problem sharing. Just as long as you like what get's shared. :-) You know you have to dress like you are in either the north, south pole, antartica or alaska when you are in michigan cause the weather can be horrid.

Well where would you move to and why? i miss home but not enough to move back unless it was for family reason's. I can tell you this it is better than Ohio

texas or north carolina...... i love the southern life and love north carolina from my time there as well.... those would be the only 2 places that i coudl see myself moving to.

i grew up in the mountains. which is the poorest section of the state. ALL tax money stays in the eastern part of the state, with the rich people. hardly any funding goes to the mountains. and if it does, it stays in Asheville. so, over time, western NC is crumbling. have you ever heard of Cary, NC? it stands for "Caged Area of Retired Yankees." In Cary everyone wears a monocle, carrys a wine glass, looks down their nose and they call everyone "Chip."

i lived in one of the poorest sections of the county i grew up in. to this day no one there has cable because the cable company said it "wasn't cost effective" to run the cable lines on my side of the community. but you better believe on the other/ rich side those bas(*#ds have it.

there were three high schools in the county. the rich kids HS, my HS and one HS so far away from everything it is a one hour car ride thru the mountains to get to it.

my high school was located on a college campus of WCU. The college is a teaching college and they had worked out a drug deal with the school board in the 1950's to have a high school on the campus so their teaching students didn't have to travel. BUT there was a clause if the college wanted the space they could kick the students out and take over the building. when i was in jr. high, the college told school board to get out. the federal government gave the county 6 mil to build a new school for us poor kids. also you have to understand no one wanted to go to the poor school so their parents drove them to the rich kids school.

well the rich kids and their parents were upset, because, "How dare the poor kids get anything better than us." So the school board worked up a second drug deal and consolidated the two schools to get access to the 6 mil in the summer of my sophomore to junior year.

the school board built a new two story building in the back of the rich kids campus, bussed us there and called it a day. the 6 mil disappeared too.

today they have a MASSIVE overcrowding problem. can't imagine why.

one of my uncles, who isn't retired, has to drive at least one hour to work, which is on the far side of the next county. when it snows he can't get to work. his employer, papermill, is one of the larger employers west of Asheville.

wowo asnd i know how the travels go.... the tennessee border by north carolina is a *****.... it takes over an hour with mild congestion to go 10 miles to ge4t from the bottom by cades cove to the nc side and the top of the mountains.

hell yea right by hillbilly gold and the hard rock cafe hahahaha, and you cant forget all the dolly pardon stuff going on around there. and the texas roadhouse there is great! and an RV through the mountains! that had to take forever, when i was last up there in april of 2009 we had them close on us due to a lil snow... i swear thats the only thing i cant stand about you sutherners and thats you dont know how to drive in the snow or take care of the snow on the roads... old timers.

they "forgot" how. but some of us are "well traveled" and spent time in Germany. i went home in 1998 and it snowed a tad in Asheville. i was passing 4x4's on I-40. they were creeping along and i was passing them in a honda civic with Fla plates. they were pi$$ed too and were giving me the one finger salute.

but yea the dolly parton stuff is crazy. it's like a mekka.

hahaha you got dollywood, dixie stampede, and many other things that she owned down there... i also have to stop at the drive in A&W when down there alos in pigeon forge. always a blast in the area than over to cherokee north carolina usually and than to all the beaches in the north and south carolinas. and i bet i have never been passed by a floridian before and its not going to happen!

if your ever on the NC side and you see signs for Big Cove.....leave. go back the way you came. it's the "hood" and well.............they don't take kindly to strangers. and your white so it's two strikes against you.
