LG Launches New Android Tablet in South Korea



It’s been a while since we saw LG launch any Android devices after the company stepped away from the smartphone market a few years back. With that said, it looks like the South Korean brand is launching a new Android device in its home turf.

Dubbed the LG Ultra Tab, the device is targeted at the entry-level market, and comes with hardware consisting of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, a 10.35 IPS display with 2000 x 1200 Pixel resolution, and 60Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the display also supports Wacom stylus input, which is definitely a nice addition.

The tablet also comes with an 8MP main camera on the rear panel, paired alongside a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. As with most entry-level devices these days, the tablet comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, as well as micro-SD card support. The tablet also comes with a quad-speaker set-up on the sides of the device.

This is a very surprising move on LG’s part as very few people were expecting a comeback from the brand, given how it fared in its last few years in the Android device marketplace. The company’s last smartphone was the LG velvet, which was released back in 2020.
