Blackview?s latest Android tablet lets you go online without WiFi or a SIM card

When it comes to internet connectivity on our mobile devices, we usually have two choices – WiFi or a SIM card. One of the benefits of a SIM card is that as long as you have coverage, you can go online, but once you’re out of a coverage area, then you’re out of luck. That’s where Blackview’s recently announced Tab 13 tablet shines. The company has unveiled the Tab 13, its latest Android tablet, which comes with a unique feature we don’t see on too many devices these days, and that is SIMO internet connectivity.

For those unfamiliar, SIMO is based on virtual SIM technology. It lets users connect to the internet without the need for WiFi or a physical SIM card, giving users access to over 200 mobile networks located around the world. This means that as you move from region to region, you can ensure that you stay connected without having to stop and buy a local SIM or rely on a WiFi network.

Right now, the Blackview Tab 13 supports SIMO 1.0 which is only available in the EU, the UK, the US, Mexico, Canada, and Japan, but there are plans to eventually upgrade it to SIMO 2.0 that will cover more regions.

As for the tablet itself, the Blackview Tab 13 will come with a 10.1-inch FHD+ display, a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. It also comes with a 7,280mAh battery which the company claims is good for up to 30 hours, and it also features a PC mode that offers up an enhanced multitasking experience.

The Blackview Tab 13 is available for purchase today at $150 and more information about the tablet can be found from its website.
