GeForce Now on Chrome will now support higher resolutions and faster framerates

NVIDIA’s GeForce Now game streaming service has recently received an update for the web version. Gamers who stream games through the service via Google Chrome or Edge will now be able to enjoy games at a higher resolution of 1440p and framerates of up to 120fps, versus from before where it was limited to 1080p at 60fps.Prior to this, gamers could already achieve those framerates and resolutions if they were streaming games through the dedicated GeForce Now app on Windows and Mac, but now that option has finally arrived for browsers.

Keep in mind that in order to unlock these higher resolutions and framerates, gamers will need to be subscribed to the RTX 3080 GeForce Now membership. This is essentially the top tier when it comes to GeForce Now and is priced at $19.99 a month, or $99.99 for a six-month subscription.

This upgrade will no doubt be a welcome change, especially for gamers who prefer not to use a dedicated app. After all, one of the upsides of game streaming is that since the bulk of the processing is done remotely in the cloud, gamers can stream their games to pretty much any device they want and even play through their browsers.
