Browser Speed Showdown
Pcworld also has conducted a test on each of the browser .The purpose of that because Google Chrome,Safari beta 4 version ,MS, FF, They all have said that there browsing experience is faster.
Well upon further reading pcworld has found that Google Chrome knocked the competition by 1.40 average time. So i thought to start our own test by conducting a poll. Now to accomplish this and you guys cast your vote. Please specify rather you are on a broadband connection, Fios,DSL Or start up modem. Have fun pb |

Re: Browser Speed Showdown
i have used the chrome and its quick but i found that the utility is limited. and went back to ff.IE 8 is a resource hog and takes to long to load. Safari i have used too but i don't like it much.

Re: Browser Speed Showdown
yea, i know i guess not to many people use it or opera don't market it like the others as they should. As a matter of fact vbulletin don't do any script writing for that browser. That's why when i get emails about that.I always tell them to use something else, there's nothing i can do about it.

Re: Browser Speed Showdown
As far as speed goes its Chrome hands down, especially most of my time is spent doing google searches. But have grown up on IE and am a traditionailst so I use IE8. But since the thread is about speed, Chrome is the winner...
Sorry forgot to add I use ADSL.. |

Re: Browser Speed Showdown
Well I've done testing with these before and found out that Chrome is indeed the fastest to load pages.
You know you're going to have alot of people that vote for firefox and dog chrome that have never tried chrome before anyways though. Been tethering my phone as my connection. |

Re: Browser Speed Showdown
I use them all between home and work. Even after making lots of changes with FF, I must agree and say that Chrome is the champ.

Re: Browser Speed Showdown
I've been using FF for the past 6 months maybe a little longer, it was faster than IE7, but now with IE8 it's as fast as FF, but I'm used to FF so I voted FF, haven't tried Chrome yet.

Re: Browser Speed Showdown
Well I like FF because you are able to add many widgets and other cool stuff to it and with some mods it works like a champ .... I have FIOS and it does the job for me ... GC ummm don't know about that the looks are kinda rusty ... so peace GC and IE.
