Android 12 Update Rolls Out to Samsung Galaxy A32



Samsung’s track record in giving software updates to its Android phones has been improving, with the manufacturer pushing out the latest Android 12 and One UI 4.1 update to its current line-up of smartphones. The latest addition to this list is the company’s Galaxy A32 handset.

According to a report from Sammobile, Galaxy A32 5G owners in Thailand can now receive the latest software update, which includes an OS upgrade to Android 12, as well as One UI 4.1. While there’s no specific update timeline for users in other countries, the update should start rolling out to other regions soon, as is the practice with most OEMs and software updates.

The new update should provide users with some new features based on Android 12’s “Material You” customization scheme, as well as a number of Samsung-centric software features, as commonly seen in One UI.

Samsung’s update track record has been the point of much discussion in the past, and the company has faced criticism for failing to provide updates to some of its non-flagship devices. Lately however, we’ve been seeing more effort from the company as it works to roll out updates for its handsets – the announcement of the Galaxy A53 and A33 included a promise of up to four years of OS upgrades, for example.

The Galaxy A32 is one of many Samsung devices to get the latest Android version, and other Samsung handsets like the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (4G), Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G, and the Galaxy A71 5G are also reported to receive the Android 12 and One UI update soon. The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G was originally launched in 2021, and features specs which include a 6.5-inch display, MediaTek’s Dimensity 720 5G chipset, and a 5000 mAh battery, among others. In our review of the device, we heralded it as the budget 5G smartphone to buy at the time.
