The OnePlus Ace is Official



OnePlus has certainly been busy lately, developing and launching multiple devices left and right. A while back, we mentioned that an upcoming handset named the “OnePlus Ace” will soon make its debut, and OnePlus has finally made the phone official, albeit in China (for now, at least).

The phone comes with the new Dimensity 8100 Max chipset, which is sure to provide more than adequate performance when it comes to day-to-day tasks and gaming. The handset comes with a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 1080×2412 resolution. The display also features a 120Hz refresh rate, as well as a maximum brightness of 500 nits.

Given that OnePlus and Realme are both owned by BBK Electronics, the phone shares some similarities with the Realme GT Neo 3, both on the inside and outside.

Powering the Ace is a 4,500 mAh battery, which is compatible with 150W fast-charging. The back of the phone features a triple-camera set-up with a 50-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and 2-megapixel macro sensor. At the front is a single 16-megapixel selfie camera, embedded in a central hole-punch display.

As for storage, there are different variants with 128GB of storage and 8GB RAM, 256GB of storage and 8/12GB RAM, and 512GB of storage with 12GB RAM.

On the software side of things, the phone runs on Android 12 albeit with ColorOS 12.1. Given that the phone has yet to see a global release, there might be a chance that the international variant might instead feature OxygenOS, although there’s no word on it yet. It’s expected that the phone might be branded as the OnePlus 10R in India later this month.
