ARTICLE: Oops: Samsung pre-leaks the Sprint Moment Android phone (aka Insti

UPDATE: Sprint just made it official. Available November 1 for $179.99 after rebate, on contract. Specs coming soon!

So Samsung's got a press conference scheduled for 11 AM Pacific time at CTIA today in San Diego. They've hyped the event to journalists as all kinds of really important. We're all pretty sure they'll be using the time to unveil what leakers have been calling "Insinct Q," their upcoming Android OS device set to launch on Sprint here in the US.

But, wait! In an unprecedented, anti-climactic, self-buzz-killing move, Sammy went ahead and outed itself in a press release earlier this morning. Amidst talk of all sorts of AMOLED display sporting handsets we already knew about (Behold II, Rogue, and Impression) was this not-so-innocous gem of a paragraph:

The Samsung Moment integrates the open and innovative Android platform with Google complete with built-in Google mobile services, including Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail and YouTube as well as the thousands of applications built on the Android platform. The Moment is the first Sprint device to include a brilliant 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen display and is designed with a tactile QWERTY keyboard that slides out horizontally and a virtual QWERTY keypad for versatile text messaging and email access. Device navigation is simple thanks to an optical joystick located just below the expansive display. Powered by an 800 Mhz processor, the Samsung Moment is one of the fastest available in the market and features WiFi capability, integrated GPS navigation, 3.2 megapixel camera and camcorder and stereo Bluetooth® technology.

D'oh! Sounds like "Instinct Q" to me. We'll find out for sure in 45 minutes or so.

Catch the action live via Aaron and Adriana's ongoing coverage from CTIA in San Diego.
