LG?s smartphone unit might be dead, but the Velvet is still getting Android 12

• The LG Velvet has received Android 12 in Korea.
• There’s no word on wider availability just yet.
• The company previously promised that the Velvet would receive three OS updates.

LG exited the smartphone business just under a year ago, bringing its long run in the industry to an end. The company did however pledge to provide software updates to some phones.*
