GameSir’s X3 mobile gaming controller has a built-in fan to keep your phone cool

Save for several rare exceptions, pretty much all smartphones do not come with fans to help keep them cool. Instead, many manufacturers opt for different methods of cooling, but sometimes it doesn’t feel like it’s enough, especially if you use for phone for intensive processes like gaming.Cooling is important because it helps to prevent the battery from overworking itself and to maintain its longevity, so if you find yourself gaming a lot on your phone and need a way to help keep it cool, then GameSir might have something for you.

The company has recently launched its latest gaming controller on Indiegogo called the X3 Type-C. For the most part, it looks like your standard gaming controller but it has one advantage over other controllers in that it has a built-in fan that is designed to keep your phone cool while you game.

According to the company, with its cooling technology, it allows for up to a 24C drop in the surface temperature while the cooler is active. The built-in fan can spin at speeds of up to 7,500RPM which is pretty much on par with the speeds you might expect to see in a computer fan.

As it uses a USB-C connection to your phone, this means that for those worried about Bluetooth lag won’t have to. The buttons can also be removed and moved around to suit your layout preference, along with the thumbsticks where users can switch them out if they feel that it’s too low or too high for their liking.

The X3 Type-C will play nicely with a good majority of phones as it can fit devices from as short as 110mm and up to 179mm. If this sounds like the perfect controller for you, then head on over to its Indiegogo page to pledge your support where a pledge of $69 will nab you one unit upon successful funding and production.
