Get free unlimited T-Mobile coverage for three months with the power of eSIM

  • A new feature called Network Pass gets new customers unlimited free T-Mobile service for three months.
  • This used to be known as Test Drive, which limited you to 30 days or 30GB of data, whichever came first.
  • Network Pass is available to any unlocked Android or iOS phone that supports eSIM.

One of the magical promises of eSIM technology is the ability to switch to a new carrier without needing to go to a store or even wait for a physical SIM to arrive in the mail. Instead, you just use the electronic SIM card installed in your phone and switch around from carrier to carrier at will.

T-Mobile is now letting us experience some of that reality. The company is rolling out a new feature called Network Pass that, unbelievably, gives you free T-Mobile service for three months. That?s unlimited service, too, with no data caps outside of the usual 50GB throttling limit.

This deal is open to new subscribers only (obviously). You?ll need an unlocked Android or iOS phone that is eSIM-capable, which should be most of the prominent flagships launched over the past few years. Download the T-Mobile app to your phone and sign up for Network Pass there. Once you do, you?ll have three months to put T-Mobile?s service through the wringer while still being able to fall back on your current service if necessary.

As you may have guessed, the point of this free T-Mobile service is to convince you to switch. If you test it out and find it works just as well as your other, more expensive service ? and it?s already working on your phone ? why wouldn?t you make the switch permanent?

If this sounds sort of familiar, that?s because T-Mobile has done this before. It used to have a program called Test Drive, which gave you a hotspot to test out the network for 30 days or 30GB of data, whichever came first. Network Pass is much better in that you have more time, unlimited data, and don?t need a hotspot at all.
