Switches to vibrate

My phone has started randomly switching to vibrate several times a day and I keep having to set it back to loud. It is doing this under the HTC home plugin. I can't figure out what is wrong and I have phone alarm and it is set to ring but the HTC plugin keeps switching to vibe and over riding that. Anyone know what could be causing this?
