Upcoming Realme Q5 Pro to Come with 120Hz AMOLED, 80w Fast-Charging, and Vans Collaboration

The brands “Realme” and “Vans” aren’t the usual sort of pairing you’d see in a marketing sentence, or any other sentence for that matter. That may not be too far-fetched though after a poster featuring the Chinese smartphone brand was spotted online, as well as several leaked specs which are predicted to come with the handset.According to a report from Fonearena, a device with the model number “RMX3372” was certified in China a few weeks ago, and a recent confirmation from Realme seems to corroborate this leak. According to the company, it is working on the next “Q” series phone, adding that its previous Q3 handset range has sold more than two million units.

Furthermore, a leaked photo online shows a Realme phone sporting the signature Vans checkerboard pattern, suggesting that the phone manufacturer might team up with the American clothing brand for some interesting promos and product campaigns.

As for what’s inside the phone, rumored specs include a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, and the choice of either 8GB RAM/128GB of internal storage or 8/12GB RAM with 256GB of internal storage.

Other specs include a triple camera set-up with a 64-megapixel main sensor, 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and 2-megapixel macro lens, a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, 5000/4880 mAh battery with 80w fast-charging support, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

On the software side of things, the phone will come with Android 12 with Realme UI 3.1. If these details are true, then the phone is expected to launch sometime later this month, although no specific release date was mentioned by Realme.

For those not familiar, Realme is a sub-brand of sorts which is owned by BBK Electronics in China. Other brands under the company’s ownership include Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus, and iQOO. It’s not uncommon to see similar phone designs and hardware specs shared between the different brands, as seen with certain phone models from OnePlus and Realme.
