[HELP] Sprint Mogul HTC 6800 (problem)

Hello everyone,

I have a serious problem with my Mogul, recently I decided to update to the latest Rom from the main support site with sprint. I don't know the original Rom version that came with the Mogul but the latest Rom version was RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.56.651.0_RS_TITAN_3.42.02_S PCS2.04_PPST_0718_Ship.exe, everything installed fine except for the Bluetooth function which fail to connect and the system running a little bit slower than default. So I decided to downgrade and ran across not being able, research online... found information which stated unlocking was needed first (wrong on that probably) so I downloaded a file called TitanUnlocker, applied the setup and came to a four colored screen... red, green, blue and white. With the Roms I started with 2.16 loaded that only to find out the touch screen didn't respond anymore; I got stuck on the screen before alignment (setup screen) and wasn't able to proceed.

Next I tried a version above 2.16 - 2.17 now and got the same results. I started looking for anything above v3.00 but during the flashing process I wasn't able to proceed beyond 11% on progress, Mogul just rebooted during the installation... a few other v3.xx had the same results.

Now I'm stuck with a screen (the four colors mention above) and the only thing it says is... with the red - TITA100 (below it) SPL-1.20.Olipro (nothing else), green and blue are blank, white changes from Serial to USB when plugged into usb on pc.

I don't know what to do from here, I've been looking around and came across so many things I should have done before the unlocker. Other alternatives like using the power, camera and reset button and using the Micro SD to flash the rom... NBH file included. I made a bad mistake and regret ever thinking about the upgrade in the first place. On a good note... I found a site that might be able to bring my Mogul back to life and even if nothing works out at least I get to meet good people here at SPJ.

first of all you posted this in the wrong section. this is not a rom release so warning will be issued.
to address your question, you would need a newer bootloader, 2.40 instead of 1.20. that's why you were getting stuck at the bootloader screen. look in my sig for how to flash a rom. you'll find all you need there. if anything else, just ask! but in the right section lol will move this for u

I apologize for the mistake; being new to this board and not knowing how to navigate or post anything correctly played a big part in the mishap. I appreciate your kindness and value your knowledge as well as everyone here, I am glad I found SPJ.

Unfortunately I still can't get the "SPL" to update from 1.20... Keep in mind I can't operate my mogul through the software (Windows Mobile) it gets stuck on the first screen where you have to go through alignment. Doesn't connect through sync so anything that is needed to correct the SPL using sync is not capable since it doesn't recognize the mogul. I can use (the only way the pc will recognize mogul) power, camera and reset feature to access the four colored screen; this is all I can do. I already used "Hard-SPL-MFG" on the four colored screen and it passes 100% on errors but fails to update SPL leaving me (no change) with SPL-1.20 Olipro only. Here what I get when I try and update (power, camera, reset and using micro sd) the rom higher than 3.xx...

On Rom this is what I get after updating to 2.17 keeping in mind I am unable to use any software feature (Windows Mobile) to access any settings or connecting both devices (pc and mogul) through sync. Touch screen fails to respond like it was intended to any touch (finger or stylus) and I can't get passed the alignment screen. Here's the boot screen message...

Maybe I should give up already, a voice within is starting to say "your mogul is no good". I really liked my mogul; it’s a shame to see it not functioning the way it was designed to. Please will someone help me with the situation I'm going through? Be honest with me and tell me like it is... if it's no good just say it, I've already put too much time trying. I need to know whether or not I got a bricked mogul... because that's exactly what it seems to be at the moment.

i'm pretty sure you made a mistake in the first place by trying to downgrade your ROM bc i'm not sure if that's even possible

i agree with raybond, it's highly not advised to downgrade from gps to non gps rom

if you want you cna send it to me and i will be able to get it fixed for a fair price........ its a lil process but all good..... and on top of what ray and boom boom said not only was going back a problem to a non gps rom but your running stock on a bootloader for custom..... you would need to relock your phone once you get back to the home screen...... and when it says usb on your phone you are connected to activesync....... (even though shows that your not)

Thanks everyone for your honesty, this is exactly what I was expecting from experts here on SPJ. I really needed that dose of reality when dealing with something so complicated as the mess I've brought upon myself with the poor old mogul. On a good note I didn't pay anything for the mogul so it really doesn't have an impact like buying it... that doesn't mean I don't want see this gizmo working again.

It was a good mp3 player and the camera wasn't that bad also, I really liked the flash light... it came in handy. Days before the mess up I managed to get youtube playing, the good times we had trying to personalize my mogul beyond with sprint intended to be.

Where's a time machine when you need it... besides preventing the Federal Reserve from existing in return killing the gold standard (real money) and a few other important thoughts excluded for personal reasons... the other thing on my mind is I shouldn't have updated to 6.1. I thought it would have better capabilities so I proceeded and found out I made a mistake less than an hour later. Well now I regret but continue to move on since tomorrow is another day and there will always be something out there to satisfy my techie need... just like my mogul did so very well.

I appreciate the feedback and would like to thank the creators and everyone involved with maintaining SPJ, last but not lease everyone here on SPJ that seek the ultimate information forum for smart phones... with no resolve I still put on a smile.
