FCC to investigate AT&T, Verizon for anti-competitive behavior
Exclusive phone deals.. High SMS rates.. Could it be collusion between Verizon Wireless and AT&T, who combined have 60% market share in the wireless world? The FCC is looking into allegations that AT&T and Verizon Wireless have engaged in collusion and other illegal business practices to keep prices artificially high and hurt consumer interests.. What do you think? Source: DSL Reports original thread hosted at link below thanks to BigDiesel07 from ppcgeeks: Codehttp://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=80473 |

Re: FCC to investigate ATT Verizon for anti-competitive behavior
Why does this not surprise me…..I had Bellsouth Mobility when the company was a startup. I was living in Savannah, Georgia. I had 400 TOTAL minutes for $40.00 a month. I had good service in town, but when I left, in either direction it was spotty. Long story short, I moved to Florida and it was the ONLY state where Bellsouth had different type phones, this pre-dates 3G so I can’t say what kind of phones but It’s was like GSM and CDMA now, but the same company had the same branded phones, same model numbers etc. that worked on the network, but if you lived in Florida you had to have a different phone, only sold in Florida. I’m not too sure WTF kind of $h*t they were pulling but I was told I had to transfer my service to Florida and buy a POS Ericson phone for $150.00. I drove to the local store and set up a new account and got 2 of the same type Nokia's for $40.00. Bellsouth never turned off/ transferred my account/ combined like they were told/ clamied they could do, (liars and bi*$h$s) and I ended up being double billed for 4 months, until they shut off all my phones. Needless to say, I still owe Bellsouth/ Cingular/ ATT money.
