My new-ish Supra
So, figured i'd post the before pics of my Poopra. Got it about a month ago, have been dealing with the mechanical side of things at the moment. Another 350 bucks and i can start putting down serious cash for power (and looks, gotta have a little show with the go, you know?)
anyway, its a 1989 Supra Turbo (7m-gte) the pics cant show the paint, but its the code 042 (white pearl mica) also, sorry for the bad pics, the 'ol blackberry cam is a little dirty. |

Re: My new-ish Supra
not bad supras are nice you have any pics of the motor or anything? and electrical on them can be a ***** but they are well worth the work when you get them working and running without any troubles.

Re: My new-ish Supra
Yeah, it was pretty well taken care of, for the most part.
Plans are not TOO extensive, 60 trim on the turbo, 3" turbo back exhaust, lexus afm/500cc injectors, piggy back computer, upgraded suspension, upgraded intercooler with hardpipes, and a few other misc things and supporting mods. Hopefuilly the gracer bumper, bomex sides, abflug rear, with shine diffuser. My goal is about 400-450 hp. Just enough for the road, as I'm going to build an FC for drifting. haha. |

Re: My new-ish Supra
it's just me and my 3 year old. I actually may end up with a 240sx as a drift car, it will all depend on whats there next spring/summer. That when my supra should be probably going in for paint, meaning everything else is done.

Re: My new-ish Supra
Lost Wages, nevada. haha. Wont be much to paint on it, CF hood, targa, hatch...lol
ben: it actually came down to an 86 300z and this 89 supra, the Z had a blown head gasket, hence the supra...I realize they arent the same, but those old datsuns are awesome, almost had one when i lived in wyoming. If only i could get my hands on an old 2000GT. haha |

Re: My new-ish Supra
oh man, those 2000gts are really rare, i'd pick up both if i had the "flow" for it. lol, they're so cool. One, i'd restore to factory condition, and basically leave it like that. The other, 2jz-gte swap baby, woot!

Re: My new-ish Supra
hahahhaa word but ones hit in the front and one in the back...... so some parts will have to be taken from one and swapped to the other...... so basically one good car out of the two........ just wanna figure out how im going to cut all the parts i need off and if i want to add flares or anything to it why im at it.

Re: My new-ish Supra
well, hell, if the frame is straight on both, not a big deal. lol. They make repro panels somewhere. I actually think i'm going to get the widebody kit for this poopra...hmm. then i'd need custom body work to make the body kit i want work right. oi. So much to do, so little time/money.

Re: My new-ish Supra
News on the supra front. I just put a quick deposit on a 2jz-ge motor, I'll have it paid off in a month (catching up on bills) and then i'll get the other few parts i need. I should be running a 2jz-ge-t by christmas.
