Re: Should I Flash

Believe me IT'S WORTH IT...........and yea, I'm with you on not "understanding" the "flashing", it can seem kinda overwhelming at first, but it's really not that bad. Took me awhile but I was the one making it more difficult than it really is.............

Just follow the steps.............

1. get the mogul "unlocker" to unlock your phone, download and run from your PC
2. your phone will restart and seem like nothing happened, that's fine, it's unlocked to flash to a custom rom now.
2. find the ROM you want (make sure it's a MOGUL ROM!)
3. run the RUU (ROM Update Ulility) located within the ROM file you selected, from your PC, with your phone connected to activesnyc
4. follow the steps on your PC with the RUU, and you will see your phone begin to flash the new custom ROM, and it will tell you at the end you are "finished"
5. then after the phone starts to "reboot" you see the first flash screen come up, take the battery out for 1 minute and put back in, turn phone on, and you are done!

hope that helps, I've flashed my rom now probably 5 or 6 times trying to find the exact one I liked best! the benefits are that the custom roms are built without all that crap that our providers junk up our phones with, the phone runs smoother, more responsive, and lots of other beneies I can't think of right now, I'm sure one of the staff will correct me if I'm wrong on anything here!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!

Re: Should I Flash

I think you should flash you Mogul. It will make it more stable and faster. Just make sure you follow the directions so you don't bricked your phone. Good luck Flashing!! :>

Just follow the instructions and you won't regret it. The first time you flash it you'll probably be nervous as hell, but once it's done and you start seeing some of the improvements you can get, I'd wager you'll end up flashing a few times to try different roms out.
