Sprint breaks its sales record with Palm Pre
Sprint Nextel executives said Monday that the launch of the much anticipated Palm Pre on Saturday hit a new sales record for the company.
Neither Sprint nor Palm is discussing specific sales figures, but Tim Donahue, vice president of business marketing for Sprint, said that the launch exceeded the company's expectations. "We experienced our best one day of sales and single weekend sales for any phone we've launched in our history," he said. "We sold out of the device over the weekend in most of our store locations. And it happened at a much faster rate than we had planned on. " More info here Codehttp://news.cnet.com/8301-1035_3-10260208-94.html?tag=hotTopicsBody.2 |

Re: Sprint breaks its sales record with Palm Pre
well through extensice research and knowing some inside information sprint will go under in 6 months if they dont get a deal with sony made. sprint doesnt have the right machinery to keep uptake of the nextel towers costing them a lot of money but sony does and they own it themselves..... they are working out a deal with sony for uptake of the towers in return ofr some undiclosed features....... if this doesnt go through sprint ma be rebuilding along side with gm and at that point sprint may turn into the next verizon with the high prices.
