WM 6 vs 61

I have a Mogul still (ancient I know) and I recently upgraded to WM 6.1 and I'm not sure if it's me or not, but it seems to be running a lot more sluggish than with WM 6. So basically what it is that I am asking is if anyone knows if there is a major difference in the amoung of Program Memory usage that the two operating systems use. It seems like even after a soft reset, I can never use less that about 65-70% of memory, even without any applications running. Thank you in advance!

after you flashed the official upgrade from sprint did you take the battery out and soft reset? thats always a must that can make a difference.... i would suggest going to a custom rom like the kaos rom for example or nuerom...... you will love the speed and stability difference as well as the available memory.

Re: WM 6 vs 61

I have soft resetted it many times through the reset button and from psShutXP, but I never have taken the battery out. I will try that and will let you know what happens. I have Alltel, by the way... ;-) Thank you!

UPDATE: After removing the battery and soft resetting it, my ram usage was down to about 57%, not a bit step up. I think I am going to try a custom rom as you suggested. They will all work with Alltel, right? Because I know most of the owners and program writers have Sprint. Thanks guys.
