Need new phoneHELP

Ok guys..I hope this is the right section. I've been reading the best I can considering so many changes. If this is the wrong section please remove without HOLLERING at me..

anyway, I no longer have a cell phone & I'm wondering what you guys think is the best phone out at the moment. It doesn't have to be a windows phone. Just a great phone in general & what service to use. All suggestions are welcome.

Dashy Poo, I hear that you no longer have Sprint or the Touch Pro...what do you have now & why? I also hear you're a "superstar" on the scene... Please do share! lololol

Re: Need new phoneHELP

It really depends on what your looking for. Do you need a qwerty keyboard? Do you want a large screen? Do you want a slide out or can you live with on screen? And the most important is how much you want to spend? These are all factors when looking to buy a phone. I f you want a good all around phone without needing to have the lastest you should try the TP. If you want a phone for just texting reasons then all you need is a rant or rumor mabey a BB. I always try to purchase non contract phones first so you have a little more leverage when it comes time to re-up. My personal list from grestest to least would look like this, and remember it is only my opinion.

TP2
TP
Hero
BB tour
Palm Pro
BB curve
The Fusic (sweet phone I love this and is still one of my favs)
rumor
rant

hahah naw im no longer with sprint, i went over to verizon for many reasons.
1. sick of dealing with their horrendous customer service.
2. they allowed over 50,000 dollars worth of fraud to happen on my account after i put a fraud alert on it.
3. they had an employee sell my personal information which led to the fraud mentioned above.
4. the service in my area was horrible causing me to go through almost 3 batteries in a day for the use that i gave it.

verizon is great so far and here are a few of my experiences.
1. i got 1 month free of navigation and tethering, the charges went past onto my next bill even though i didnt use those features. i call them and without ANY questions asked took the charges off and had me off the phone in under 2 minutes literally!
2. i got a droid eris off of ebay, the model wouldnt pick up internet connection so i had to bring it to the verizon store after tech support had me go through the steps ONLY ONCE AND DIDNT TRANSFER ME! once that didnt work he adds in my notes and calls the store for them to put one aside on the machine! walk in the store they get me swapped out without questions asked. they ran into a small issue of where it was from and i just stated bought straight out and mailed as a gift and she traced back and said yup was purchased legally and did the swap using that to verify.
3. no repair centers with verizon either, you take the phone in and the rep (any of them) that see the problem is the phone and not the user just walk to the back and get you a new one! i didnt even know what she was doing when she did that with my droid eris!
4. verizon customer service just rgets things done even for their new customers! they treat everyone great and not like sprint where you jump through hoops to get their mistakes fixed or problems with your device fixed.

and phone wise it depends on provider that you go with in some instances, but if you go with the tp2 you have a sim card slot on the device as well. if you get the sprint touch pro 2 which is over 200 bucks more even with contract than verizon you wil have to pay 18 dollars to unlock the device sim card wise. for veerizon it is free through customer service. when the sim card is unlocked the phone can than take us sim cards like t-mobile and at&T as well as flop back over to verizon or sprint as your nastive! so gsm and cdma in one!

you could also go android based in the droid or the hero, android does everything that wm does in almost all areas and can do office as well. the big difference is that it is quick and stable out of the box without custom roms needed. you will also have the huge app store and can root the device so you can tether and get wayyy cooler custom apps made by the publi users through the sdk.

but than you can also look at t-mobile. you can buy any phone that you want off of ebay and sign up with their plan project dark details at this link:

sure you have to buy the phones but any gsm will work form america and you can get it unlocked through customer service by telling them that you need an unlock code after you have been with them for 2 months. they also have the #1 rated customer service in the cell phone business world. my mom has them and loves them.

whatever provider you do choose to go with be sure to check online and look through there coverage maps and make sure that you have good coverage in your area and other areas that you may travel to soon. if you have any questions feel free to ask but as far as basic phones go it matters what provider you go with on what you have to choose from if you decide to stay cdma.

let me know if you need anything else answered dont be shy i think i covered most though even though ill look back on this later and find stuff that i should have added haha
