a wierd problem with winrar

I have been extracting .cabs with winrar since i joined this wonderful site, but for some reason about a month ago everytime i download a .cab and extract it with winrar i get a list of files when i use to get a nice and neat .cab The only thing that has changed for me is the fact that i sent my laptop for service but the service place put in a new harddrive and i was able to install everything sucessfully from scartch (i dont even think the two are conected)

any ideas, im really stuck?

check your winrar settings and be sure that you have cabs checked to be read. you prolly just set it up wrong.

that was the first thing i thought; so here are the other things i tried: on Winrar setings there are 7 tabs and i went through all of them, tried unisntalling Winrar and reinstalling, uninstalled and ran spyware- restarted computer and reinstalled, tried 7zip as a .cab alternate and not work, finally i went to the developers homepage for help (not much there)

help, cant install anything on my phone

have you thought about using pocketrar and doing it on your ppc?

this gives the old problem of the 'chicken and the egg'

other wordsthe pocket rar cab comes as a Winrar file to put it on my phone so my only other option is to get juicy rom (its an exe file)

im not sure i think there is an exe and a cab, if not ask for it in the thread and i will get for you.

pocketrar do a search here or through google and you will find it since it is a freeware.
