The Xiaomi 13 series was announced on December 11 in China, last year. It arrived to global markets months after that. Well, according to a new report, the Xiaomi 14 series could launch sooner than expected.
The Xiaomi 14 series could launch sooner than you think
Based on the information from Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster, the Xiaomi 14 could arrive in November. In fact, it could arrive before November 11, so in early November, basically.
The tipster seems to be quite sure about this. November 11 is actually ‘Double 11’ in China, it’s a big sales day also known as the Singles’ Day event. Xiaomi allegedly wants to release the phones before this date due to the popularity of the Xiaomi 13 series.
Some of you may be wondering if this is doable, due to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 launch. Well, Qualcomm is doing its launch earlier this year too, on October 24. So… the timing fits. The Xiaomi 14 series could actually be the first to get the new chip.
The Xiaomi 14 phones will get a new main camera
The Xiaomi 14 devices likely won’t look much different than the Xiaomi 13 series. What is rumored is that the Xiaomi 14 phones will get a new camera sensor, a 50-megapixel 1/1.28-inch camera. Do note that we’re talking about the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, as the ‘Ultra’ model will likely arrive later on.
The Xiaomi 14 is said to include a 4,860mAh battery, and support 90W wired, and 50W wireless charging. The ‘Pro’ model will include a 5,000mAh battery, and support 120W wired, and 50W wireless charging.
We still don’t have a lot of information about either of these two devices. You can, however, expect both of them to offer a 120Hz display, and high-end specs overall.
Leica lenses and some camera software will once again be a part of the package. The partnership between Leica and Xiaomi is going strong.
