Hey Matt,
Thanks for your reply.

I understand that 16 GB cards are available in the market. But the HTC site lists support for upto 4GB only for the HTC P3400i :

Expansion Slot
SDIO/MMC (Up to 4GB)

But I believe the page has not been updated since it lists the OS as:

Platform
Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC Phone Edition

while my P3400i shipped with Windows Mobile 6 ppc version. So, I am wondering would my device support capacities greater than 8GB or not.

[information]Also, my last phone was Sierra Wireless Voq Smartphone with Winows mobile 2003 SE Smartphone Edition. It had an SD slot too, I tried using a 2GB SD card, even though I read that it supported upto 1GB. The device recognized the card & displayed available space as 2GB, so I bought the 2GB card only to find out later that the device won't access/read any new files u put on the card once the 2GB card gets half full.(I used a memory card reader to put files on the SD card as transferring files though the phone was painfully slow) i.e. I had only 1 GB of usable storage on the phone even though I was using a 2GB SD card.[/information]

So I dont want to end up buying a higher capcity card & then not being able to use its full capacity, once again.

Thats the reason I am so specific abt the max. capacity supported.

Second part of my question: Can I use an SD HC card with P3400i?
