Re: monkeys guide to free mp3s
Hey this is awesome, Thanks monkey. I am having a problem though.... I've downloaded a few songs just fine (older ones mostly) but I tried to download a few others and I get a message like "The file you requested does not exist. It may have been deleted or the URL could be incorrect." and sometimes it will just stop playing my playlist. Ive tried 7 or 8 different ones and they all play fine in my playlist but refuse to play in WMP. Any ideas like maybe certain songs have restrictions??Comment

Re: monkeys guide to free mp3s
dunt quite understand what you are saying but actually download the mp3s, by how it sounds you are downloading the playlist and saving the play list. when you take and right click the bottom bar by where the play button is and press show classic menu. this will give you file at the top. when on each song in your play list click file save as and save the mp3 to a location.Comment

Re: monkeys guide to free mp3s
i need to add an update to this. theres now an easier way without downloading entire playlist will do now ^_^ im gunna make a whole new guild all together
--------- New Post Merged on 14/1/2009 at 0155 --------
well dammit scratch the new guide it got bugged again :( about 2 weeks ago i found a better method of using it to download which involved viewing your playlist and you could download one song at a time so you could click the song then hit url and it would pull the song up in windows media player then just follow the steps it came in real handy for downloading 1 or 2 songs here and there but now its just redirecting to the website...
to start off you must go to
Code:http://playlist.com
then you fill out the info like in the pic below
once registered you can get yourself some songs. all you have to do is search the song you want when you get logged in. the search bar is in the top right corner aswell as show in the picture
the best way to search is by typing in this format," artist - song " you can also seach by either of the 2 but artist - song is the best for a more refined search.
after your search has been loaded. you can take and listen tot he song by clicking on the play button or clicking the + which adds to your playlist
note: adding to your playlist is the step needed to download.also be sure that it is the correct timing
another note if you have multiple playlist and you want to add to a separate playlist you can change by click where the arrow is on the previous list it will give a dropdown of your other playlists. this has to be done before you hit the add button of the song.
now heres the important steps
click on my playlist located at the top of the website
after that is done you must click on your actual playlist. aka itll have your name and say playlist just like the arrow is pointing to in the follow pic below.
once you click the playlist it will come up showing the playlist and the different methods of viewing. click the windows media player one and it will download the playlist to your windows media player.
once downloaded you are ready to start saving your songs. ok you can see what song it is by listening to it or it will tell you on the right hand side.
in order to download in wm 10 or 11 forgot whats the newest one you need to right click the black area at the top or bottom and turn classic menues on or do like i did and just go over file then click save as. here you will save your song and blam free mp3
to download the rest of the songs on your playlist all you have to do is hit the next button on the playlist to go to the next song.
a note that has been found as a somewhat issue. if you have issue downloading your playlist then try deleting the first song and redownloading there has been an issue with invalid urls which makes the download of the playlist not work correctly. also if your going through your playlist and you get an invalid url and just write it down and go find another version of the song and retry the download.
it will then say over in your actual playlist that it has been saved and it will be at the bottom as shown belowComment

Re: monkeys guide to free mp3s
This is nice and easy but I'm having the same problem with some of the songs having errors and saying that the users bandwidth is full. I don't understand it because all of my songs work on the actual website but when I try to download them only 11 out of about 50 worked.Comment

Re: monkeys guide to free mp3s
They have just updated the program. Now you can export to windows media player at a link on the left. You can also open the url and get the mp3 location from that page and open it in a new window. That will prompt windows to ask you to save the file. skips having to save it to your playlist. The problem with the previous post still exists though. Keep on going through different urls might get you a valid one.Comment
