Now this is some good rom. I'm way up here in Alaska, and my phone company (ACS), don't have a clue what going on. with this phone. I was trying to tell them that the gps don't work on their standard rom. I would like to get the touch pro. They never heard of it, and wont activate it if i get it. Well use the same CDMA EVDO revA just like sprint/nextel, verizon, and bell, and alltel. I need a cab for ACS, and maybe i can convince them to hook one up for me. What do u think. My PPC 6800 works better than the old 2007 rom and radio that came on this. anyways nice rom. i click the installed and thank the author links.

yep this is one of kind rom which i installed in on my spare mogul and if you check my review section here https://www.smartphonejunkie.org/sho...d.php?t=179760 i configured it make it look like a diamond pro with the tflo2d interface...i have to finish it to compile the program i used so it can be available.

Dude youre NOT trying lol... youve been here since sept, and only have 2 post and still dont kno how to download? LMAO... I'm sorry... but come on... read or reread the noob guide, and join the software download group/section and then youll be able to download apps etc....

well said. a second note to that staement look in the tutorials section read ALL the tutorials of flashing that way you dont mess yours up.

Hi - Thanks for this great ROM and all the tutorials on how to flash. I just did my first one. I do have a question or 2. I need Powerpoint and looks like only Excel and Word were put in this one. Is there a way to install just powerpoint. I did a search and couldn't only find the whole Office and it didn't install.

Next I read in this thread that this has touchflo and to just put programs that have it on and it will work. But how do you configure so that you can use it with Contacts or anything else that has a scroll that normally requires you to use your stylus. I used to install FTouchSL that allowed me to configure for programs and to exclude from programs but this one has TouchFLo so I don't want to put two touch programs on in case they collide.

bro, you can use as many programs as you want, all it means is that this rom supports touchflo, like i contacts, resco explorer and so on. if the program you are installing isnt touch flo you will be fine, you just wont be able to scroll up and down like you would with touch flo programs. i ran this rom for 3 months and it never failed me. i had like 25 programs plus a bunch games. just dont RUN too many at a time and you will be fine.

Thanks! What about the missing powerpoint program out of Office. How do I add that back in as well as Sprint Nav. I think Dash had a Sprint Nav ripped somewhere - I can use that but don't know how to do that Powerpoint

once you install that rom, it comes with all of that. everything you had on the stock is on that rom, because that IS the stock rom. so just flash to it and everything will come back like magic...........
but dont even think about keeping the mogul just for that!!! the pro is wayyyyy better!!!! ha ha ha

if you want powerpoint, go to microsoft.com i believe they have it there. but i never used it anyways so i dont know if we have it here. maybe one of the knowledgeable staff can point you in the rigth dirrection. but really thats a minor flaw(if you can even call it that), in this badass rom.

Hahah yes I agree. I would LOVE a Touch Pro. Unfortunately (or fortunately since it's free to me) this phone was given to me by my company. They were willing to upgrade me but it was to a Treo 800w. While the Treo has 3 times the memory I don't like the form factor with the square screen and the keyboard below. And there isn't much support on modding it here on Smartphonejunkie is there?

So since it's a work phone I do get Powerpoint presentations for work I need to look at it. I'll check Microsoft.com but I think this Take 5 is not the stock rom or atleast under menus Kaos had remove some stuff.

Thanks again Kaos for doing this Rom and everyone for all the help and great work. I hope to get knowledgeable to the point I can contribute as much as you guys do here.

Okay I tried both the Office upgrade from SPJ and from Microsoft.com and the CAB for storage card I found here but none of them istalled. On the upgrade one it keeps saying it can't detect a Windows Mobile Device Center (i am on Vista). But I am connecting to the phone fine.

Oh and I hope this is now not off topic of this forum - it again stemmed from powerpoint not being on this ROM. Someone please feel free to let me know if I need to move my question to somewhere else. Thanks!

well bro,if you NEED power point, thn i would suggest you try a different rom. thats the beauty of SPJ! you can always find something that works for you!there are many roms here, and if worst comes to worst, you can always go back to stock.

HA - That definitely is an option. For now I am going to try to see if I can't get it on there. The Kaos rom is perfect except for this one thing so it would be a shame to have to not use it. This one is so highly recommended and rated and I believe stable. Do you have a recommendation of another one that's pretty much as good as this but has powerpoint? I think I get confused when reading about the ROMs where they say based on Bell version so and so etc. I don't know what that means. I just know I am looking for WM 6.1 some radio 3.42 or later and 3.56 or later

I still don't know why the Office upgrade can't detect Windows Mobil Device Center so it can update or otherwise that might be the fix. I keep trying and keep you guys posted if I ever get anywhere. Thanks!
