Hey guys. This is my first post (besides my introduction). First of all, I'd like to say thanks to all of you. I've modded xboxes, playstations and lots of other stuff... this community is by far, the most thorough one I've ever been bt in a lot of hard work for your scene and should be applauded for it.

I've been reading these threads like mad and I think I have the general idea. I've managed to update my sprint rom, my radio, my prl, and my bootloader. All thanks to the information that you guys provide. you guys kill it, all day!

I just had my mogul (6800) flashed to metro and so I have talk and text. Now somebody wants to charge me $100 to get the other stuff working. Hells naw! Not when there's the net.

Your ROM looks like the right thing to do, right about now. I've read the tutorials on flashing custom ROMs and have my mini sd card formated. I know about droppin the nbh file in the RUU folder on my laptop, connecting with a/s and entering bootloader manually and flashing that way. My question is this:

Is there a way to operate this bad boy so that I can still use the MetroPCS service? Or do I need to find a version that's been cooked for Metro? If so, how? Do I flash reset (before the carrier customization takes place), take out the battery for 60 and restart?

this rom is specifically for sprint. if you want a rom you can use with MetroPCS service then you need a rom that offers a carrier cab for it. i think the windows 6.5 beta rom or the tf reloaded rom offers it i dunno though.

Thanks for the quick response. I was looking at 6.5 last night and trying to ascertain ($2 word) whether it would work for my carrier. I've seen other posts that claim that there are some metro CABs "floating around" but I haven't been able to track one down yet. People in my area are advertising that they can get all the features working on my Mogul so I know it's out there. If anybody knows of one, please pass on the info. Thanks a lot.

oh... Off Topic:
If you live in Northern California and need to have Metro flash your HTC, PM me and I'll give you the number of a couple stores that can do it since not all Metro stores are currently capable of it.

I actually saw that first posting already. That second one had a metro cab in it. dope. Too bad I got the same "lost connection" message when I started up IE.

I got Kaos' rom on my phone. Pretty slick. Way quicker and much more free memory. Now if i could just get my www to work.

well your only issue with kaos's rom is its designed for sprint only. you need a rom that says, "all carriers."

I had some problems getting out of the rainbow screen - stuck with the guide, used search..... and i fixed it! (using XP instead of vista didnt hurt either)

I love the mod, not use to all of the programs yet. However, I do have one question.

You list touchflo, and Im assuming its the 2d (do to the age and hardware capabilities of the mogul), and i was wondering how I access the program on the phone. cant really find it. yes, i know....probably a dumb question.

no its just touchflo with gestures... if you want 2d you will have to install the cab files for the application but 2d doesnt run very good on the mogul since it takes a lot of the available memory unless you go with the newest no2chem rom for your mogul.

how difficult would it be to get this running on a alltel ppc6800 and foll it into thinking its a sprint phone?
my gf has a sprint rumr and wants to use the ppc6800 as a replacement.
sprint claiims it can't be done and would rather just sell a new phone.
she paid to get out of the contract with alltel so everything is clean.

No Kaos is done making rom's for the Mogul he has moved to the Touch Pro but there lot's of rom's and app here on the site for the mogul.

Does this rom allow you to lock in roaming? I see it says that multi carriers supported and im hoping thats what it means. When i upgraded from win 6.0 to 6.1 i lost it and ive got to have it back.

there is a setting where you can force roaming or not have roaming on your device....
