UPDATE #1 (01.06.09): Mini Wiki update. Added commonly requested files from my older versions of the ROM. I posted two goodies that everyone keeps PM'ing about. Check 'em out then submit your own! I will add unique and cool things that make great add ons for the ROM. PM me or post them in the thread and I will attach. Share your own work even!
VZ Nav 3.0 Final Edition with lllboredlll GPS version 2.0
ONLY FOR VERIZON XV6850. All other carriers will ROAM due to GPS fix. Verizon-ized phone may not be the same after flashing. I only recommend this ROM for the XV6850
Preface:
This is version 3.0 of my VZ Nav ROM. This ROM is the FINAL version. Please provide appropriate feedback and be as clear as you can if / when describing bugs.
Compatibility: This ROM was designed and tested on a Verizon Branded Touch Pro and hence was developed for such. My previous builds, 1.x and 2.x have reporetd very succesfull on Sprint branded Touch Pro's. Due to how the ROM is organized it will wipe your settings in epst. I cannot help you get them back. If you flash this ROM on a non VZW branded TP you assume all risk involved with epst settings.
OS / Kitchen:
Conflippers compacted and tuned XIP along with ervius kitchen, Caulkins Sys files (CE OS 20954), my OEM files. Page Pool Changer included in the download.

Instructions to enable full GPS:
Typical rules apply. You must be unlocked to flash. Dont blame me if you break your phone, etc...
1. Flash phone - Phone flashes and autorun kicks in and then reboots.
2. Now Dial *22899 and activate. Phone will reboot on its own.
3. Now we need to enable GPS in Windows. Click Start Settings -> Phone -> GPS ON
DONE!
Go play!
*At this point you are done and GPS is unlocked. See the Wiki in post #2 to make you favorite apps compaitble

Known and reported issues:
Issue #1: The phone still does not boot as fast I would like.
Impact: Minimal
Status: Looking at it but help from anyone would be nice.
Confirmed Add On's:
Page Pool Settings:
If you plan on changing the page pool you must do so before you flash. You cannot alter a page pool that is on the ROM already with this current set up. Anyone thinking (nueKernel port?)
To change page pool open RUU folder and run PagePoolChanger. Press the select button to load the ROM. In a few moments it will tell you that it found the signature file. Now just use the arrows on right hand side of box to move PP up or down. Once selection is complete click on change to commit changes and then exit the program. Now flash ROM like normal. Enjoy enhanced page pool!
Confirmed page pool settings:
0 to 5 - LOW. Not recommended for anything other than testing.
6 Meg - Stock ROM level
9 Meg - Modest gain but minimal impact on free RAM
12 Meg - Nice Mix of free RAM and Speed - Shipped Setting
16 Meg - FAST but getting low on free RAM
20 Meg - DIMITRI FAST but not recommended for the faint at heart!

How to set up Live Search
Install and start Live Search (No longer included)
Select Menu -> Settings. Arrows Done to GPS COM0 and change it to GPS COM4. Select Done
Now select Map. This brings up the default map. Next turn on GPS by pressing Menu -> Center on GPS.
It can take a few minute for a first fix. After that it much quicker. I also recommend toggle Center GPS on and back off again if it doesn’t pick up in under 90 seconds as a matter of fact the program will force you to. If it forces you to then click Ok then toggle “Center on GPS†off then back on and it will lock quickly! First lock is always hard on fresh flash. After that you should be good to go.
How to set up Google Maps
Install and start Google Maps (No longer included)
Select Menu -> Options -> GPS Settings
Select Set manually and then arrow down and select COM4 then change baud rate to 4800. Now click ok.
Now Select Menu -> Use GPS and you will then lock on!
How to set up TomTom 7
Just install and run. It configures on its own. At least version 7.45. I am running it without issue.
Remember: Be patient!
Priming and how to use Quick GPS to help speed lock time
Although I cannot confrim this because I always lock fast, Quick GPS has been reproted to assist in the time it takes to lock on to satellites.Please follow these steps before attempting to run an application like google or live search
1. Open initiate data connection so QuickGPS can download. You can use Wifi to make it faster then CDMA
2. Open QuickGPS and Press Download. This will download the data it needs in regards to satellite location.
3. close or exit QuickGPS.
4. Open HTC GPS Tool
5. Press Function -> Chip -> Q7500
6. Click open Port
7. Data will scroll in window. More sats, more data, more scrolling. Look at Satellite Used. That should start going up. When it shows a number greater than 0 next to satellites fixed you are LOCKED!
8. Menu -> Exit
Start favorite GPS program.
Add On's
Add on's are nice additions to the ROM or user requested features that were taken out of other ROM''s
If you have a killer app that you would like to share PM or post it in the thread an I will add it to the pack.

1. My collection of themes (Additional Themes (OEM).zip) - Common PM request. These are themes that were in the first versions of my older ROM's. I will be excluding these going forward for size reasons. You can also drop these in a kitchen and they will build in without user intervention. I think I grabbed the original OEM from either DCD or PPCK. I dont recall. It had about 10 themes and I added about 30 to 40 more.
2. Black Animated Manila (tlr-manila.cab)- From ROM version 2.1. Alot of people PM'ed asking for this. ITs not my creation. I found it on XDA but cant find the post because they are down right now. Its from a guy named the Loan Ranger. Thats all I know. WARNING - There were a few random reports that this ver of Manila would not accept all customizations. I run this version as it is. To me its perfect. I just tab out the tabs I dont want. The animation makes me smile no matter what!
