    Pats cruise past Bills

    It was over when...
The Patriots set foot on the Ralph Wilson Stadium field. Much like the last meeting between these two AFC East rivals, the Bills never had a chance, as the Patriots scored on seven of their eight possessions -- all touchdowns -- adding an eighth touchdown on an interception by CB Ellis Hobbs.

Randy Moss runs into the end zone for one of his career-high four TD receptions.

    Game ball
Perhaps someone informed Randy Moss about Terrell Owens' four-touchdown, eight-reception, 173-yard performance against the Redskins earlier on Sunday, because Moss caught as many receptions and TD passes in the first half alone. He finished with 10 catches, 128 yards and a career-high four TD receptions. His previous high was three, which he accomplished five different times.

    Key stat
The Patriots recorded 30 first downs, compared to 12 for Buffalo. On third down, the Patriots were 8-of-11, while Buffalo went 4-of-10.

    Noteworthy
Before the game, injured Bills TE Kevin Everett -- recently released from a Houston area rehabilitation center -- delivered a taped message that was broadcast on the Jumbotron at Ralph Wilson Stadium. ... The Bills snapped a four-game winning streak. ... Patriots RB Kevin Faulk left the game in the first half with a head injury. He did not return. ... The Patriots matched a franchise record and recorded a season-high 56 points, eclipsing the 52 points they scored against Washington in Week 8. ... Before being replaced by backup QB Matt Cassel in the fourth quarter, Tom Brady threw five touchdown passes for the second time this season. His career high is six, set against Miami in Week 7.
