HTC to USA : No 3G Touch HD for you

HTC Touch HD is the best Windows Mobile phone of all times and it will go on sale early next month (November 2008). However bad news for USA: US Americans will be able to get it but only through imports of this phone from overseas, i.e. without support for American 3G bands...
In recent weeks when we have posted about new devices a few posters have complained on lack of mention of American 3G bands.
Well HTC made a confirmation on their Twitter page that there are no plans to bring a 3G Touch HD to the US.
Several complained about this and the HTC Ywitter page has been updated to say that these complaints are being taken to USA management:
I have taken your cries for the Touch HD to HTC's North American management. Now all we can do is wait and see how they answer.
