Is the Google Pixel 8a hot or not?

Google has finally peeled the curtain back on the Pixel 8a, and it looks like a worthy addition to our list of the best mid-range phones.

What do you think of the Pixel 8a, though? Let us know by taking our poll below. You can also leave a comment if you’d like to explain your choice.
There are quite a few positives about Google’s new mid-ranger, such as an impressive seven years of updates, the Tensor G3 chipset, several Pixel 8 features (e.g. Audio Magic Eraser and Best Take), and pending support for Gemini Nano. Toss in an IP67 rating, an upgraded 120Hz screen, wireless charging, and Google’s great cameras, and there’s a lot to like for $499.

On the other hand, that $499 price tag means that the Pixel 8a is perilously close to a discounted Pixel 8. So we can see why people would opt for the flagship phone instead. Google is also stubbornly sticking to 18W wired charging while offering the ancient Gorilla Glass 3 (released in 2013) for screen protection.
