It was first rumored several months ago that Samsung is going to launch a “Fan Edition” variant of its clamshell foldable phone. Based on everything known so far, this device is indeed coming soon and will be launched as the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.
The chipset question was answered months back as it was revealed that this device will come with the Exynos 2400. A Geekbench benchmark of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE running this chipset now ends the mystery of what kind of scores the Exynos 2400 will put up on the new foldable phone.
Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will soon be announced officially
The international variant of this device, bearing model number SM-F761B, was taken for a spin on Geekbench. This 10-core chipset has 1 core running at 3.21GHz, 2 running at 2.90GHz, 3 cores at 2.59GHz, and 4 cores running at 1.96GHz.
Graphics processing is handled by the Samsung Xclipse 940 GPU. The subsequent listing confirmed that this device has an Exynos 2400 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM. This package on the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE posted single-core and multi-core scores of 1,940 and 6,136 respectively.
They're right up there with what the expectation would have been with this chipset. The Exynos 2400 is a decent chipset that will deliver enough performance for a device in this category. Samsung will only offer this chipset with the device globally, there's not going to be a Snapdragon variant anywhere.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is likely going to be unveiled at Samsung's July 9 Unpacked event in New York City.
