Google has officially confirmed its next hardware event. The company is sending out invites for a Made by Google showcase scheduled for August 20 at 1PM ET. The invite teases “the latest additions to our Pixel portfolio,” confirming earlier reports that this would be the big Pixel 10 reveal.
While the invite doesn’t name the location, the time zone strongly suggests the event will take place in New York City. Last year’s showcase happened in Mountain View, so this would mark a return to the East Coast.
So what’s coming? We’re expecting a full lineup: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The Pixel Watch 4 will also make an appearance in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm. There’s a chance we’ll see new Pixel Buds a-series models too, if the rumors pan out.
This will also likely be the launch window for Material 3 Expressive, which entered beta back in May. The updated design language is expected to ship with the Pixel 10 series.
This August timing gives Google a head start over Apple’s usual September iPhone event. It’s the same play they made last year, shifting their schedule forward by almost two months. Google also moved Android’s timeline up this year, with the stable release of Android 16 happening in June and the first developer previews already out last November.
