Android Headlines has shared exclusive renders of the Insta360 Go Ultra, giving us an early look at the upcoming action camera. Instead of calling it the Go 4 or 4S, Insta360 is choosing the “Ultra” name, joining other brands in chasing that trend.
The camera features a square design, which is a change from the rectangle-shaped Go 3S. It still supports the same modular setup. You can pop the camera out and clip it to your shirt, helmet, or gear. Like its predecessors, it’s compact, wearable, and water-resistant.
The biggest upgrade? It shoots 4K at 60 frames per second. That’s a big step up from the Go 3S, which only handled 4K at 30FPS. The new shape might help with heat management, which is important in a device this small.
Insta360 also keeps the flip-up screen for on-the-go vlogging. It helps with framing your shot, especially when you’re recording yourself. Recording indicators appear on both the screen and the camera, so others can see it’s filming even when detached.
The Insta360 Go Ultra will come in both black and white. While Insta360 hasn’t announced it officially, so take it with a grain of salt. However, we expect a launch around late August or early September, possibly during IFA.
