Smart lighting brand Govee is heading to IFA 2025 with two fresh products designed to push the boundaries of outdoor ambiance and living room immersion. The company will showcase the new Permanent Outdoor Lights Prism and the TV Backlight 3 Pro, both built on Govee’s signature blend of colorful customization, smart control, and user-friendly installation.
Permanent Outdoor Lights Prism
The Prism system marks what Govee calls an industry first: three LEDs packed into a single head. This design enables triple-color lighting effects powered by a customized optical structure, ensuring smooth transitions without messy overlaps. The effect should be a more polished, professional-grade look for backyards, patios, and outdoor setups.
Color performance gets a boost from Govee’s LuminBlend management solution, which offers access to 16 million shades and gradients ranging from subtle blends to bold splashes of light. For homeowners, it means the same string of lights can flip from dinner-party chic to holiday cheer without skipping a beat.
Installation is aimed squarely at the DIY crowd. The light strings can be cut, spliced, and extended to fit different layouts, with 3M adhesive tape for straightforward mounting. Durability is another highlight: the Prism is built to handle extreme climates, rated to operate between -30°F and 140°F. The lights carry an IP68 rating, the control units sit at IP67, and the entire system includes UV resistance, flame-retardant materials, and a rated lifespan of 50,000 hours.
TV Backlight 3 Pro

On the indoor side, Govee’s TV Backlight 3 Pro brings a new approach to screen-matching. The system uses a triple-camera HDR setup to capture on-screen colors across a wide area, feeding that data to a high-density light strip for greater brightness and accuracy. Govee says the design produces HDMI-level precision with smoother effects compared to earlier models.
The backlight is powered by the company’s AI intelligent color mixing system, which uses deep learning to fine-tune white balance and saturation. The goal is a more lifelike match between the TV image and the glow surrounding it, pulling viewers further into the action.
Smart home compatibility is well covered. Users can control the Backlight 3 Pro with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, and the system supports Matter, making it easier to fit into a multi-brand smart home setup. For those who like their entertainment in sync, Govee’s DreamView technology delivers near-instant light responses to on-screen content, with millisecond-level switching between effects.
Availability
Both products will make their first public appearance at IFA 2025 in Berlin. More details, including pricing and availability, are expected during or shortly after the event. Those interested can keep an eye on Govee’s official website for updates.
